🔒 ConfidentialJob Description – Utility Engineer Position: Utility Engineer (Civil) Department: Utility, Role Building & Facility Management Location: Manufacturing Plant Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering Experience: 2–3 Years Job Summary We are looking for a Utility Engineer (Civil) to support the maintenance and upkeep of civil infrastructure and utility facilities within our manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant infrastructure, including buildings, roads, drainage systems, water supply networks, and other utility-related civil works. Key Responsibilities · Monitor and maintain plant civil infrastructure, including production buildings, administrative offices, roads, compound walls, and utility areas. · Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities related to civil works. · Supervise contractors and vendors for civil maintenance and construction activities within the plant. · Conduct routine inspections of plant facilities and identify areas requiring repair, renovation, or improvement. · Ensure proper maintenance of water supply systems, drainage systems, sewage lines, rainwater harvesting structures, and other utility services. · Coordinate with production, maintenance, EHS, and administration teams to support plant operations. · Monitor civil work quality and ensure compliance with company standards and safety requirements. · Prepare maintenance schedules, work permits, contractor bills, and project documentation. · Support infrastructure expansion, modification, and facility improvement projects. · Maintain records related to civil maintenance activities and utility consumption. · Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental requirements related to civil infrastructure and utilities. Following all applicable laws on utility consumption and management, such as waste disposal regulations · Compliance & Safety: Ensure all utility operations meet Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards, including waste disposal regulations
Required Skills · Knowledge of civil maintenance, construction practices, and utility management. · Understanding of industrial infrastructure maintenance. · Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and layouts. · Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office. · Good communication and contractor management skills. · Strong problem-solving and coordination abilities. Educational Qualification · Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute. Experience · 2–3 years of experience in civil maintenance, utilities, or facility management within a manufacturing or industrial environment. · Experience in factory infrastructure maintenance will be preferred.
