Job Summary The Costing Engineer (Mechanical) will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for MEP projects, managing tender processes, analysing project costs, and supporting budget optimisation. The role requires strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and utility systems, along with expertise in cost estimation and vendor coordination. Key Responsibilities 1. Cost Estimation & Tender Management • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs. • Manage the complete tendering process, including preparation, submission, and negotiation. • Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop competitive bids. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather cost inputs. • Submit commercial and technical offers to clients within timelines. 2. Vendor & Supplier Management • Coordinate with procurement teams to evaluate vendor and supplier quotations. • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to achieve cost savings. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers. • Support vendor finalisation based on cost competitiveness and technical compliance. 4.
