To qualify for the MEP Estimation Engineer position, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with 3-6 years of relevant experience in MEP estimation, specifically in HVAC, piping, and electrical systems. A strong understanding of MEP design principles, materials, and installation methods is essential. **Technical Skills:** - Proficiency in AutoCAD and advanced Excel. - Familiarity with estimation software (such as Candy or Plan Swift is a plus). - Knowledge of international standards including ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, NEC, and IPC. **Soft Skills:** - Strong analytical and numerical abilities. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Detail-oriented with the capacity to work under tight deadlines. - Exceptional organization and documentation skills. **Educational Requirements:** - Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. **Preferred Certifications:** - Relevant certifications in cost estimation or project management will be an advantage.
