Design Engineer (AHU Fabrication & Manufacturing)

Transforming Approved Drawings into Error-free fabrication drawings - sheet metal drawings and production BOMs. Core 3D Modeling and 2D Drafting (Daily Tasks): Produce Shop Drawings / Apply Manufacturing Tolerances / Design Sheet Metal Components. Component Layout and Mechanical Integration: Coordinate Spatial Fitment / Design Filter Tracks / Incorporate Drainage Systems / Manage Access Opening Documentation, BOM Management, and ERP Tracking: Construct Production BOMs / Standardize Part Libraries / Execute Engineering Changes (ECN) Cross-Functional Factory Support & Compliance: Support CNC Programming / Resolve Shop Floor Bottlenecks / Incorporate Design-for-Safety & Certifications.

Minimum Experience: 3 to 5 years of core experience in designing sheet metal products, with at least 2 years dedicated exclusively to Air Handling Units (AHUs) or heavy ventilation equipment.  Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes (bending allowances, punching, shearing) and structural assembly.  System Exposure: Proven track record of managing engineering workflows within ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for material releases.
