Civil Engineer

SS Engineering PLLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad, India, focusing on US land development projects, particularly in the Houston region of Texas. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in site development, drainage, grading, utility design, and permitting support, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. As part of a collaborative remote team, you will work closely with US-based project managers, surveyors, architects, and MEP teams, playing a crucial role in delivering successful land development solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the smooth execution of projects and the satisfaction of our clients, enhancing our reputation in the engineering industry. In this role, your day-to-day activities will include preparing detailed site development plans, performing hydrology and hydraulic calculations, and utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D for drafting and modeling tasks. You will also prepare engineering reports, coordinate with various stakeholders, and assist in responding to city comments and permitting requirements. To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and possess 2–6 years of experience in land development and site design. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential, along with a basic understanding of drainage principles and utility layouts. Candidates should have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on clarity and collaboration across time zones. Experience working on US projects and familiarity with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and Hydraflow are preferred qualifications that will enhance your application. Additionally, successful candidates will demonstrate attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to meet deadlines, particularly with partial overlap with US hours.
