Apply core engineering principles heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, mechanics, and materials science to evaluate and design electromechanical products. Awareness of industry standards for ensuring compliance in system design, performance, safety, and certification requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally with simulation teams to guide design decisions and predict product performance under various operating conditions. Incorporate DFX principles Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Reliability, Cost, and Serviceability to optimize product performance, reduce lifecycle costs, and enhance production efficiency. Conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies. Design sheet metal components to meet structural and functional requirements. Work closely with simulation engineers to develop robust technical solutions. Choose materials and components that balance cost, performance, and reliability. Prepare product verification and validation plans; coordinate with labs and agencies for testing. Use CAD tools (e.g., Creo) to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings. Review and finalize approval and manufacturing drawing packages. Provide technical support for customer applications and field usage. Coordinate with cross-functional efforts across design, simulation, documentation, and quality teams to ensure timely and integrated delivery Monitor project milestones using project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts, MS Project, Jira) and key performance indicators (KPIs), generate status reports, and proactively implement risk mitigation strategies. Facilitate regular customer engagements including status reviews, technical discussions to maintain alignment and satisfaction discussions, and escalation handling. Manage change requests and mitigate scope creep by aligning evolving requirements with business objectives and customer expectations. Lead transformation initiatives (e.g., automation, process re-engineering) to improve delivery effectiveness. PLM automation – Drive Works / Enovia/ Windchill configurator Build and maintain strong CXO-level relationships with global clients to ensure satisfaction and retention. Own delivery KPIs including utilization, margin, quality, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction (CSAT). Foster a high-performance culture driven by accountability, collaboration, and learning.
Minimum of 10-25 years of experience in product development, product line from mechanical engineering systems, components & design principles with delivery leadership roles Exposure to global delivery models, onsite-offshore coordination, and multi-geography project delivery. Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling (Creo, SolidWorks) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software platforms (Enovia, Windchill) Independently contributed to PLM Automation / Configuration Management Projects in parametric modelling using either a. SolidWorks and Enovia or b. Creo and Windchill Worked in PLM Automation projects with DriveWorks to reduce engineering effort and enhance PLM workflows through automated product configuration Familiarity with product testing, validation, and regulatory compliance processes. Proficient in delivery tools: Jira, MS Project, PLM systems, QMS tools. Proficiency in managing team members through a solid line reporting structure, including performance accountability, career development, and day to day management
